I got him, I got him! Oh no, now what? What does this really mean? It’s not like catching a fish or something, or your big or little brother. It’s similar to floating around in a balloon and landing on a spot. A spot you had hoped to land on, or tried to anyway. So now you’re there, or here rather. Where is ‘here’ you ask? Here is a place where you will grow academically, emotionally, and physically. Here is Mr. Petris’ class. There are many things we will do together this year and we will create some new memories that will last a lifetime.
I will say this often throughout the year, but I’ll start now…’There are some things you will only so once in your lifetime, and 6th grade is one of them.’ Not only 6th grade relative to academics where you will learn a lot, but 6th grade and ALL that comes with it.
You’ll experience your last Harvest Festival as an elementary school student. You’ll experience art and music throughout the entire year, Science Camp, and the super fun end-of-the-year 6th grade party. Even as simple as the 6th grade Student Body picture. You will miss them. You’ll do these things only once in your lifetime. I would like for you to start thinking about all of that.
How will you like to remember these things? Be the best student you can be for your teachers. Be the best son or daughter you can be for your parents. Just be the best that you can be. Make everyday a good memory and you will fly with everyone else.
You’re in Mr. Petris’ class, and you’re in 6th grade!
