Good morning everybody! Happy Monday! Remember that? Well, hold on to that thought because I don’t think you will be hearing that from me again. Or maybe you will. Each and every year that passes, we meet new people and experience something we have not yet had the opportunity to experience. The question is, what will we do with it all? How will we choose to manage it in the mix of our daily life?
Here we are again. Hard to believe that we’ve accomplished so much of what we thought would be nearly impossible. But then again, ‘If it’s not impossible, then it must be possible. Just when I thought I understood it all, something else came my way and another curveball was thrown. Perhaps I should learn to expect that in my lifetime, things are not always as they seem to be. And then a package of surprise visits arrives from who knows what and who knows where. So what does this all mean?
If you think you have learned much this year, think about this…I have learned just as much from you all as you have learned from me. No, I didn’t have to do all the homework and projects that you had to complete, but I did have to always think about who you were, what you were about, and what would make you tick in the grand clock of our classroom. The dynamics of 33 individuals, what works best, what doesn’t, and the ever changing variables, even if only by small increments.
Once again we will finish, and then once again we sill start. During our time together we have had much laughter, much of what was learned, and our past 9 months have literally zoomed by like no other. If only linear time could be captured and held on to. If that were so, we wouldn’t have regret for action, or word, or deed. We again ask, what does all that mean? It means that this very moment is the one we need to grab on to, and hold tightly. Without the risk of failure there is no success. If we allow the fear of failure to stop us, then we will prevent ourselves from ever moving forward.
Do we have to? No, …we get to.
Happy life boys and girls!
