A song from the past came to me tonight, out of nowhere. I don’t remember when I last heard this song, but I do know it has been a very, very long time. I couldn’t even recall who or what band sang this song, and had to look it up. And then it all came back to me. Time.
I did remember however that I had always really liked the song and its message for what it had to say. It conveyed back then a haunting delivery intermixed with harmonic beauty. Not realizing then the song’s prophetic message, Time by The Alan Parsons Project would resurface and bring me to a place I never thought I would land some 43 years into my future.
Time, by The Alan Parsons Project -1981
Time, flowing like a river. Time, beckoning me. Who knows when we shall meet again, if ever. But time keeps flowing like a river into the sea.
Goodbye my Love, maybe for forever. Goodbye my Love, the tide waits for me. Who knows when we shall meet again, if ever. But time keeps flowing like a river. (On and on). To the sea, to the sea till it’s gone forever. Gone forever. Gone forevermore.
Goodbye my Friend, maybe for forever. Goodbye my Friend, the stars wait for me. Who knows where we shall meet again, if ever. But time keeps flowing like a river. (On and on). To the sea, to the sea till it’s gone forever. Gone forever. Gone forevermore. Forevermore. Forevermore.
